Premarketing

One important thing forgotten by starters is not only marketing, but premarketing as well. Most of us wait for marketing campaign once product is ready and finished. But in most cases it shouldn't be considered a good idea. You can do a lot of profit with premarketing.

Build brand awareness and anticipation about your product before it is out. Good examples are the movies. Trailers are released sometimes even year before real launch!

Other good living examples are some internet marketing products as Commission Blueprint, Traffic Kahuna and Trackback Spider. Commission Blueprint had an exceptional nice campaign before product launch 08/27/2008 and they suddenly came number one ranked on ClickBank.

Trackback Spider and Traffic Kahuna uses one sort of premarketing by using closed / open doors marketing tactics. Users are kept on hold, shown product tours and lauch information. Short note for Trackback Spider should be placed here. Some of the user experiences with product shipping has been negative. Scam claims are spread very fast and easily on the Net, some parties uses it even for they marketing tactics. Anyway, i would be careful with Trackback Spider otherwice, but a good example of premarketing.

But why would you drive traffic to your site before it is ready? Best way to drive people out is to show them site under construction signs, that's for sure! Point here is to capture the individuals names and emails so that they can be notified of your product once its out. Using sign up newsletter forms and building opt-in list is really effective way to keep people returning to your site.

There are also other reasons why to practice premarketing. After premarketing and feedback, you know better your clients and can use your marketing money more effectively. You can target marketing better and foresee costs.
