What are Business Ethics and What is Their Importance?
Business ethics is a matter of debate. All MBA participants learn the importance of them, yet many do not follow these guidelines in their career of real life. It is a vast and complex field, and is the subject of many investigations. Business ethics comprise a large and important part of this, you need to do business today. Under the umbrella of Business Ethics is:
• Social responsibility is a company for the community in general and in particular those in which it operates, or other interests. One example is the oil spill of Exxon Mobil. E ‘responsibility to society to protect the interests of people, animals and the environment in which we use resources. Improper treatment of the topic, has become a public relations nightmare for the company. Exxon was ordered to clean up the environment that had no damage, you must first. Disregard for the ethics of business in this case has led to a negative public image for the company and a project wide.
• Issues relating to liability of a company to its shareholders. This is a highly regulated, but that requires a lot of state intervention because of some unethical practices adopted by many companies in the past. The concept of shareholder value is increasingly an integral part of the basic principles of a business and economic ethics, if not here are at play, can society by the pressure exerted by shareholders collapse.
• Inter-company transactions and negotiations. Often the rivalry for the economy may turn ugly because of the amount of money and I turned on them. Hostile takeovers and corporate espionage are just some examples of unethical behavior in business. If discovered, these acts may be prosecuted or simply public opinion. To allow fair play and keep the best interests of consumers in mind, regulates the government a lot about what to do in society. Microsoft has the goal of much abuse and anger was due to its alleged monopolistic methods of doing business. Although it has not let the giant, many say could have long term effects. The government has also to ensure that other businesses and consumers are not damaged reinforced.
• Protection of participants. Each company has different actors, such as its owners – the employees, shareholders and the public. The company shall ensure that the rights and interests of all these groups are adequately protected during the course of their business. The outrage about the recent harassment and poor working conditions of employees of Wal-Mart has led to the generation of a lot of negative press for the outsize department store. This competition is replaced by lead and their competitors to take this opportunity to advance, while the company undertook to control some damage.
• Basic business practices of a company. Underhanded handling evidence, the use of substandard products, spreading misinformation about the product, which employ illegal workers at below minimum wage, so that business is conducted ethically and in a way that is not a quality of work or service. For example, cigarette companies spent the most time of the Septuagint, people say that it does not hurt to smoke, even though they knew that false. In a recent ruling handed down one of these companies have been forced to pay 28 billion dollars.
Democrats, do you think we can learn from Communism and apply its virtues to our system?
How to eliminate the universal health care, the abolition of private property in terms of income and property of government of all businesses and stop raping the means of production to climate change and large organizations from the evil bit?
Sweet are the slumbers of the virtuous man
Sweet are the slumbers of the virtuous man!
