Democrats, do you think we can learn from Communism and apply its virtues to our system?

How to eliminate the universal health care, the abolition of private property in terms of income and property of government of all businesses and stop raping the means of production to climate change and large organizations from the evil bit?

  1. Virtue often trips and falls on the sharp-edged rock of poverty
  2. Virtue is health, vice is sickness

  • Proud Texan says:

No, a well regulated capitalist society works the best.

  • Sung2k says:

Wrong We don’t. We just want capitalism regulated to protect guys like you. This liberal has also been self employed, btw. If we do not regulate capitalism, our middle class will perish. Want to see what it looks like unregulated? Read Charles Dickens. He describes that well. Is that really what you want for America? Please think carefully about that — especially since you’re part of the middle class.

Liberals/Obama want to make it cheaper for you to afford health insurance for yourself and your employees. The system we have right now is just making it more and more expensive and wants to continue. A public option will give them real competition to help hold your costs down. Look around you. Small business men like yourself succeed just fine in all the other industrialized countries, whose governments help keep insurance costs down as Obama wants to do.

  • Tom S says:

Proud Texan isn’t regulated capitalist an oxymoron?
That experiment is currently underway. Lets hope we can survive as a nation

  • Françoise H says:

No, our system has to be removed before Communism can prevail.

  • Clashinerx says:

No we simply must raise the red flag high over washinton and march to the campfire drums of russia

  • Psyphigrad says:

Yes, we would benefit from making the economy more democratic. It’s only natural that we continue to expand the nature of democracy to include the most important part of most peoples’ lives (at least time use wise). I don’t understand why people are afraid of a more democratic government system, especially in this interconnected global world where very few people aren’t vulnerable to the whims of the global economic system.

  • Phoenix says:

The Democratic party is replacing the virtues of our system with Communism. It is time for the Democrats to take their party back!!

  • Steve M says:

    The virtues of communism? Explain?

  • Abolition of private property is a hard sell. We have a society of people with a sense of self-entitlement and rugged individualism. Convincing the average American to think outside themself in this post-Reagan age is very hard these days.

The income gap can be narrowed by enacting Social Democratic policies; the right to unionize, heavy progressive income tax, selective nationalization of lifeblood industries; Healthcare, education, Telecommunications, Energy, etc, Fair Trade instead of “Free” Trade to name a few.

  • Bill M says:

Universal healthcare is not communism; it’s socialism.
